The New York Times recommends Malaga as a top destination

28-01-2016, Premium Hostel

Malaga has become an international reference in cultural tourism, as the The New York Times points out, recommending the city as one of the 52 places to go, along with other Spanish cities as Barcelona and San Sebastian.

As highlighted by the renowned American newspaper, Malaga has gone from being a popular beach destination to becoming a centre of culture with a rich offer of museums that will cater for anyone’s taste. In addition to being the birthplace of Picasso and home to a namesake museum full of works donated by his family, The New York Times also emphasizes the opening of new museums such as the Centre Pompidou, displaying paintings by artists as important as Frida Kahlo and Marc Chagall, the St. Petersburg State Russian Museum and the Carmen Thyssen Museum, featuring around 250 works from Baroness Thyssen-Bornemisza’s collection of past and present art world masters.
